The striker played a limited yet quality role for Steve Cherundolo?s side, thus clinching a crucial equalizer in the dying moments of the playoff game. Furthermore, Bale was also able to celebrate LAFC?s first win of the opening season.

The Black and Gold had a 3-2 win against the Timbers. George Chiellini broke the deadlock by scoring his first goal for LAFC, while Carlos Vela and Kwadwo Opuko also got their names on the scoresheet.
