This year’s summer transfer window was majorly dominated by the riches of Saudi Arabia. The mass exodus saw top European stars join the Middle Eastern domestic sides. Most of the big names have been crushed by the financial muscle of the Gulf clubs, except a few, including Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. Perhaps in the future, the duo may become a part of the influx, but the UEFA President has his doubts.

Already the Roshn Saudi League clubs have lured many renowned names. But the UEFA president insists these two generational talents won’t fancy a move to the foreign league.

While countless stars joined the Middle Eastern trend, a few stood their ground and rejected the oil money. Among them was Lionel Messi, who moved to the United States. Certainly, even after having the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, the SPL sides won’t stop. In fact, they might be on the lookout to sign Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

However, according to UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin, neither Mbappe nor Haaland would play in the Roshan Saudi League. While speaking to Le Equipe, he said, ?As far as I know, Mbapp? and Haaland do not dream of Saudi Arabia. Top players at the top of their game, I don?t think they would go to Saudi Arabia. When I?m told about the players who have gone there, no one knows where they play.?

While labeling both as ‘top players’, Ceferin insists both would snub the Saudi League in favor of staying at Europe. Indeed, it is a huge claim from the Slovenian president regarding both stars. Moreover, it may give relief to a few anti-Saudi Pro League fans, who have been condemning the moves of top players to the Gulf country.

Real Madrid ditched Kylian Mbappe

The relationship between Mbappe and PSG has been a subject of uncertainty throughout the transfer window. With the player’s refusal to extend his contract and PSG excluding him from the first-team list, the possibility of Real Madrid acquiring his services seemed likely. However, head coach Carlo Ancelotti’s claim indicated that the club has no intentions of pursuing any further signings.

Ancelotti affirmed, “We won’t be bringing in any more players, it’s absolutely concluded. Our team roster is finalized and the matter is closed.” This decision could stem from PSG’s hefty $270 million price tag for Mbappe’s acquisition or the La Liga giants might be considering the option of waiting until next season when he becomes a free agent. Be that as it may, the Mbappe-Madrid saga finally came to an end. Perhaps their tale may restart in the next transfer window.
