According to Saber Desfarges, the three possible outcomes from this situation with PSG are: Kylian Mbappe can sign a long-term contract, he can extend his contract for a season, or stay this season and leave for free in the summer of 2024.

Coming to ‘extending the contract for a season’ doesn’t seem like a viable option for Mbappe as it will only delay the move. This move is neither helpful for Mbappe nor for the club.
