The Latin American singer reportedly desperately needed a break from her singing career. That’s when she decided to enroll in a university. Just hours ago, she revisited that same place and couldn’t control her excitement. She posted several snippets from her old campus and basketball court.

Her university days were a struggle in itself. That’s because she had just broken through in the US music industry and people recognized her basically everywhere. To avoid that, the singer once revealed that she used to adopt a ‘disguised’ look as a boy and attend classes. Years after that, she met her longtime ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique.

Without a doubt, Shakira is one of the greatest singers to ever exist. Just hours ago, the Colombian icon decided to refresh some of her memories from her youth. Along with her two young children, she made a surprise visit to the university she once attended by dressing and looking like a boy.

The campus currently on Shakira’s social media is the University of California. The Waka-Waka singer created a highlight video and posted it on Instagram. She revisited her old campus with Milan and Sasha. From rediscovering her favorite hangout spots to shooting a basket, she did it all! On Instagram, Shakira has an exclusive chat group namely ‘Shakichat’ with her followers.

On that, she posted another picture of herself at UCLA, Additionally, she wrote, “Near my old classroom”. It was quite a refreshing trip down memory lane for the music artist and her fans. Years after attending university, the singer revealed that she enrolled in a history course. She used to wear a cap and a big backpack to look like a boy. She told a few suspicious people that her name was Isabelle.

During the Waka-Waka shoot, she met her ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique. He was playing for FC Barcelona and he went on to win the 2010 World Cup with Spain. Reportedly, the two of them immediately got along together and the rest was history.

She dated Pique for a long-long time. They parted ways due to a major infidelity controversy in 2022. Currently, the music artist lives in Miami with her kids and she continues to compose music. She has always been forever grateful to her die-hard fanbase for motivating and helping her through the darkest moments of her life. She’s now a role model for millions of people.
