Well, it seems like Real Madrid has found themselves embroiled in drama yet again. The ongoing season of La Liga has been under question for its poor officiating standards, with fans and managers not pleased with the match officials. However, it seems like Los Blacos‘ attempts to point out the officiating errors have backfired.
Real Madrid TV took shots at match official Diaz de Mera, pointing out his mistakes from the previous games. Video Assistant Referee Gonzalez Fuertes was also dragged into the mix, with the Madrid video highlighting his errors. However, their upcoming opponents, Sevilla, were not pleased by the actions, with the side lodging a complaint to the Spanish Football Federation accusing Merengues of harassing the officials. Well, it seems like Sevilla is not the only one dissatisfied with Madrid’s actions, with multiple match officials across Spain also supporting the side’s complaint.
According to reports, multiple first- and second-division referees have voiced their agreement with Sevilla’s complaint. Match officials across Spain are not happy with Real Madrid TV constantly issuing videos to portray a bad image for the referees right before the game.

It is uncertain if the RFEF will take any action against Madrid following the complaint. However, Sevilla believes that the actions should not go unpunished as they violate certain regulations and add more pressure on the officials.
Sevilla issues an official statement against Real Madrid TV
The Spanish side took to her website to post an official statement just minutes after lodging their complaint. Sevilla stated in their official release, “We wish to underline in the strongest terms our condemnation against these orchestrated campaigns aimed at undermining refereeing integrity.
