USWNT has regained its short-lost glory. After suffering a significant amount of criticism, the team under Emma Hayes worked hard to bring the Olympic gold back to the USA. Hence, it is now time for their due credit. Hayes after helping the team get back on track despite having just two months has received worldwide praise from soccer stars as well as the experts. But there could be nothing more exciting than the US president’s coin. However, not being aware of it much, it appears that the English coach revealed other things the got her excited.

Speaking on the Sports Agents podcast, Hayes said, “The game finished and Kamala Haris’s husband Doug Emhoff was there on hand to present me with a president’s coin you know. So I have a President Biden coin which was pretty cool.” acknowledging the honor. However, she then stated, “Obviously being English I didn’t know what it meant. But all the Americans were like ‘You got a president coin?’ and I was like ‘Yeah I did actually.'” revealing she did not know much about the prestigious accolade.

Moreover, Hayes revealed that getting applause from a few celebrities was exciting for her. “David Beckham sent me a message to congratulate me so I was over the moon and chuffed with that.” ” Watching that video of my family with Tom Cruise was just priceless.” hinting that she’s been having a ball after the Olympics spell.

On the other hand, most of the Brits were annoyed that she helped the USA win the gold. But the former Manchester United star’s appreciation for Hayes meant a lot to the 47-year-old. In addition, she also got emotional that Alex Ferguson was the first one to wish her the Olympic gold and stated she finds ‘so much of herself in him.’ Nevertheless, receiving the coin from a soccer enthusiast second gentleman of the US will be etched in her heart forever.

Winning the Olympics was one of the best moments of Emma Hayes’ life as she confessed. Yet astonishingly, Emhoff himself is a huge soccer fan who already met the former Chelsea coach before the Olympics when the team played Costa Rica. Earlier he attended the 2023 World Cup to cheer the Stars and Stripes but the USA succumbed in the RO16 to Sweden. Nevertheless, this time it was a moment of celebration.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris also takes a keen interest in the sport. The Vice President was expressing her excitement after they won the 2015 and the 2019 World Cups. More importantly, she even motivated them last year after the World Cup’s debacle writing, “To the @USWNT, you have represented our nation with dignity and grace at every step.  Through your excellence and determination this season, you have inspired so many to dream with ambition and lead with conviction. Doug and I are so proud of you.”

Harris was also ecstatic after the USWNT and basketball teams won the gold, announcing it in her talk. And as the team is aiming to get the next World Cup back, all the US Soccer lovers will aim to motivate Hayes to achieve all that she can.
