“Did Not Bat an Eyelid” – ‘Decent Boy’ Cristiano Ronaldo Showed His Down-to-Earthness Despite Being Forced to Wait 40 Mins at a Restaurant Back in 2018

Cristiano Ronaldo is a name known for his unparalleled soccer skills on the field. The Portuguese superstar made a name for himself with sheer determination and hard work. Often labeled as arrogant and selfish by many, there’s another side of Cristiano Ronaldo. Many such incidents show the player knows his roots and is humble. One such incident occurred in 2018 while the Al Nassr forward was having dinner, which left the chef speechless.

A chef once labeled Cristiano Ronaldo decent

During his first season in Turin, the forward went for a Christmas dinner where he had to wait for forty minutes. The chef of Casa Fiore got a call to book a table for three for Ronaldo in December 2018. Chef David Fiore offered a table at 9:30 pm for the Portuguese superstar.

However, the then Juventus forward arrived 90 minutes before with partner Georgina Rodriguez and elder son Cristiano Jr. Despite being early and having to wait for around 40 minutes, Ronaldo and his family didn’t make any fuss about it. 

The restaurant was full, and no one was ready to get up, according to Fiore. “The customers were left speechless, no one spoke anymore. And above all, no one wanted to get up anymore, they were captured by CR7. So I made Cristiano sit in the emergency table, but time passed, and nobody got up.”

“Cristiano did not bat an eyelid, and Georgina and her son like him. At that juncture, I realized that Ronaldo, despite being a world star and the best player in the world, is first, and foremost a decent boy. I can assure you that I have seen people far less famous than him leave after five minutes, and with arrogance, in such situations. He, on the other hand, waited for his table for almost forty minutes,” Fiore told Tuttosport.

Al Nassr with an outside chance for the league title

Saudi Pro League is getting interesting with the end of the season approaching. The recent slump from Al Ittihad has opened a slight door for Al Nassr. Al Nassr is now three points behind Ittihad with three games to go. It will be interesting to see whether Ronaldo inspires the club to win all three remaining games to keep themselves in the hunt for the title.

Ronaldo has been inconsistent since joining the club, and he couldn’t stop Al Nassr from getting knocked out of three domestic cups. The club will hope for a better display from their players in the remaining games.
