Wrexham AFC players jet off to the US

The 2022-23 season was a record-breaking season for the Red Dragons. At one point, they went on a 27-game unbeaten run. Wrexham recorded the most points ever in a Vanarama National League season. The club finished with 111 points. However, the club failed to achieve another record for most goals in a season, as they finished one goal behind Notts County.

It was an incredible season for the Red Dragons. Their win over Notts County made it possible for the club to clinch the title and automatic promotion in the penultimate game. And the owners promised a grand party in Vegas if they achieved the title dream, which they are fulfilling now. Wrexham players took off to Vegas. Paul Mullin recently shared the details of the party Reynolds and McElhenney were throwing for the players.

Meanwhile, the club manager Phil Parkinson was a notable absentee. He snubbed the Vegas trip and advised the players to come in one piece. Once the players return, they will start preparations for the League Two season. Wrexham will play some marquee friendlies in the US tour in July. The Red Dragons will play Manchester United and Chelsea. Between those games, the club will take on the reserve side of LA Galaxy.

Can Paul Mullin inspire the club in League Two?

Super Mullin raised eyebrows by choosing to play for the third-oldest soccer club in the fifth tier over third-division soccer. He helped Cambridge United by scoring 32 goals in the 2020-21 season to reach League One. The next season he opted to play for the National League side Wrexham.

He finished top scorer in the league, but Wrexham narrowly missed out on promotion in the 2021-22 season. However, his 38 goals helped the club win the league title and grab the automatic promotion spot. Mullin already has good experience playing in League Two, and the club will look to the star striker for inspiration.

Whether Super Mullin takes the goal-scoring responsibilities and helps the club to achieve success remains to be seen. But he will be the crucial player for them next season.
