This surely wasn’t the best national team outing for Neymar. The Brazil soccer federation confirmed that the Brazilian soccer icon suffered a ruptured ACL and meniscus in his left knee. Hence, the Brazilian will now have to undergo surgery and will miss a huge chunk of the season. Despite this, a popular journalist has made a substantial claim on the impact of Neymar’s absence. Surprisingly, this particular reporter claims that the team wouldn’t be fazed by his absence, however, it’s not the same with the head coach.

The soccer veteran had made himself an integral part of the team under the management of Fernando Diniz. Undoubtedly, the injury was heartbreaking for both the player and the manager. Diniz now will have to plan a whole new strategy for the team in the upcoming games next month against Argentina and Colombia.

Neymar is likely to miss the rest of the season following his injury. Following the injury update, a popular journalist has made a big claim on the impact of Neymar’s injury on the Brazil team. Popular Journalist Julio Gomes has claimed that the injury could have a different effect on the team as a whole and the manager alone. He also spoke about Diniz being forced to look for different options to replace Neymar.

Gomes penned, “For many people who spoke out against Neymar’s presence in the Brazilian team recently, the Al Hilal player’s injury will be beneficial for the team in the matches against Colombia and Argentina, in the Qualifiers, and in the future in the Copa América – whoever the coach is next year. On the other hand, for Fernando Diniz, the absence will be far from beneficial. Sources close to the coach claimed that he was ‘quite sad’ about the present situation, as he ‘trusted the connection’ with the soccer veteran.

The Al Hilal star now will have to hope that this injury is not the end of him playing regularly for his national team. Neymar still dreams of winning the 2026 World Cup with Brazil. The big question is whether Neymar has a future under the new rumored manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The Al Hilal star will now have to make sure that he tries to recover on schedule to have a possible future.

This also puts his participation in next summer’s Copa America in full doubt. So, the best Neymar can do is recover on time and have a good last quarter of the season with Al Hilal. He also has to hope that this is the last of the major injuries for him.
