NBA superstar clinches award from Lionel Messi
Messi has a personal collection of 42 trophies and has won almost everything in soccer. But there’s one award that he could have added to his award cabinet. However, the PSG playmaker couldn’t win the award.
On Saturday, Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards took place in Los Angeles, where famous stars were present at the function. Several actors, singers, sports athletes, and social media influencers are given awards for various categories.

And in the award function, Messi was nominated for Favorite Male Sports Star. La Pulga was expected to win the award, however, it was LeBron James, who took the award home. The NBA legend has won the award previously as well. Both star athletes were nominated alongside Patrick Mahomes, Shaun White, Stephen Curry, and Tom Brady.
Serena Williams clinched the award in the female category. The tennis superstar won against the likes of Candace Parker, Chloe Kim, Naomi Osaka, Simone Biles, and Venus Williams.
There’s no stopping the little magician
Messi might not have won the Nickelodeon award, but the PSG No. 30 is breaking record after record. Just a week after winning his record-setting seventh FIFA The Best award, the attacker scored his 1,000th league goal.

The 35-year-old achieved the special feat in an emphatic 4-2 win against Nantes. The Argentine skipper broke the deadlock by scoring in the 12th minute. An own goal from Hadjam and a strike from both Danilo Pereira and Mbappe helped PSG collect three points.

With a win over Nantes, PSG is now 11 points clear of Marseille. Now they’ll be looking to prepare for an important clash against Bayern Munich. Messi and co. will be looking to get a win over the Bavarians.
