The domestic campaign has been keeping Al Nassr quite busy. After their cup win and kicking off with the Saudi Pro League campaign, they recently played the AFC Champions Cup Playoff game against Shabab Al Ahli. While they may have managed to win, the rival coach insists Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t show any signs of danger in their 4-2 thrashing.

Following a poor start to the SPL campaign, it was a much-needed win for Ronaldo and his teammates. While the result after the 90th minute must have brought a smile to CR7’s face, he won’t be happy to hear the comments from the rival coach.

In Al Nassr’s 4-2 win against Shabab Al Ahli, a brace from Talisca and goals from Sultan Al Ghannam and Marcelo Brozovic helped them thrash their rivals. Notably, throughout the match, Ronaldo was nowhere to be found dominating the game. Neither did he get his name on the scoresheet. This was severely pointed out by the rival coach, Marko Nikolić.

After the game, the Serbian manager vocally posted his assessment of the match’s most influential player among the press. He also sprinkled some salt on Ronaldo’s wound. As per FUTEBOL365 and translated by DeepL, he said, “The danger was caused by Konan and Sadio Mané.” Nikolić insists Al Nassr left-back Ghislain Konan and new signing Sadio Mané were the ones who dominated the whole game.

Additionally, Nikolić added despite having a “lot of pressure,” he’s “proud” of his team’s performance. He also insists his side put in a “great display against a great team like Al Nassr.” However, coming back, it is indeed a massive claim from the rival coach and also an indirect hit at Ronaldo.

Al Nassr suffers a huge blow before the important fixture

In today’s Saudi Pro League fixture, Al Nassr will play against Al Fateh at Prince Abdullah Bin Jalawi Stadium. However, shortly before the game, they were hit by a triple injury setback. According to reports, Luis Castro’s team will travel without the services of three key players: Anderson Talisca, Seko Fofana, and Alex Telles.

While the potential absence of Talisca and Fofana had been anticipated, Telles’ inclusion in the sidelined group came as a last-minute addition. Notably, the club hasn’t provided any specific timeline for their return. Indeed, it is a huge setback for the Jeddah-based side. Nevertheless, the team will need to devise a strategy without the contributions of these three stars.
