Wrexham‘s star striker Paul Mullin has become synonymous with the franchise after joining the Ryan Reynolds-owned club. The striker played a crucial role in the team’s promotion last season and will be eyeing to take them to League One this season. However, the striker still has fond memories of his old club. In a recent interview, when Paul Mullin was asked about the best goal from his career, the striker ditched Wrexham to narrate a memory from a rival club.

Mullin went into a deep story as he described his favorite goal from his career. While the striker has spent two seasons at Wrexham, it seems like the player is still fond of his old memories from his former club.

In an interview with soccer media house Goal, Wrexham’s super striker was asked about his favorite goal from his career. The Wrecham ace touched down on the memory labelling his last-minute goal for Cambridge as the best goal in his career.

“It was a game for Cambridge when we played Walsall at home. I scored in the 94th minute to win the game. Looking back now it was so important, 25 yards out, managed to slice it in the top corner.”

While the striker has spent a good amount of time with the club, he has yet to build some massive achievements. Paul Mullin played a crucial role in Wrexham’s climb from the National League to League Two, emerging as the team’s top goal scorer.

Wrexham looking to turn this around after a slow start

The Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-owned side have struggled to find their footing this season. The team following five games is placed sixteenth on the points table with just six points to their name. Wrexham have managed to win just a single fixture so far, with three of their games ending in a draw.

The side is set to face Tranmere Rovers in their sixth fixture in the league tomorrow and will be desperately eying for a win. Rovers are currently positioned 21st in the points table and could be a great opponent for Wrexham to find their footing.
