Cristiano Ronaldo is a born winner. Even if things don’t go his way, the Portuguese superstar managed to get the odds with him. His winning mentality is the reason that today, the striker has endured a stellar career. Certainly, age is just a number, as even at 38, he won a trophy yesterday with Al Nassr. But even after his notable performance, he was snubbed.
The CR7 was the focal point of the match yesterday, as he single-handedly led the Jeddah-based club by scoring a brace. However, despite such an enthralling performance, the skipper got ditched in favor of a rival team’s $54 million-rated star for a major trophy.

Yesterday, Cristiano Ronaldo finally won his first trophy with Al Nassr. His two goals in the final helped him and his side clinch their first Arab Club Champions Cup against Al Hilal. The former Madrid man may have opened his account with his new side. However, he was hoping to add another silverware to his trophy cabinet.
During the awards ceremony, the Portuguese player found himself in an interesting situation. Aside from winning the Arab Champions League trophy, he also clinched the title of the tournament’s top scorer with six goals, a three-goal lead over Benzema. But the skipper wasn’t satisfied and was hungry to win the best player award in order to clinch his personal “hat trick”.
Milinkovic-Savic from Al-Hilal was elected the best player on the field in the final.

However, the event organizers awarded the title of the best player in the final to Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, a decision that Ronaldo disagreed with. Interestingly, cameras caught him signaling the number two with his fingers, representing the two goals he scored. But it was quite the try as the organization insisted that his brace alone wasn’t insufficient to merit the award. This seemingly left to Ronaldo’s apparent discontent.
Indeed, yet another instance showcasing his boundless ambition, the trait that garners him both critics and fans in equal proportions. Nevertheless, two trophies are better than nothing. Moreover, it was quite a brilliant win for both Al Nassr and Ronaldo.
