The Manchester City striker can go on to score 90 goals if he keeps scoring at his current rate. However, even with such unworldly stats, a former Real Madrid icon claims he prefers Julian Alvarez over the Norwegian.

Erling Haaland is showing his human side after blanking in City’s last two games. The Norwegian is still nowhere near giving a bad performance and is only unable to bag a goal. Ex-manager of Haaland claimed after his recent match that he should be praised for his performance.

Former Real Madrid icon, Antonio Cassano, takes his pick as he chooses Julian Alvarez over Haaland. The former Roma forward sheds more light on his pick and explains why Alvarez will turn out to be a better forward than the Norwegian.

In a recent conversation with Bobo TV, the former Italian international said, “Haaland will score 90 goals, but, for me personally, I like Julian Alvarez better. Julian Alvarez is a much better player than Erling Haaland. Haaland is phenomenal physically, in terms of nose (goalscoring) and competitive spirit.”

Cassano further adds to reasons as he continues to explain, “Qualitatively, he (Haaland) will surely improve under Pep, but he won’t be any finer than Julian Alvarez is. As far as I like as a fan, Julián Álvarez is better than Haaland.”
