Recently in an interview, the lethal striker spoke about the Welsh soccer club’s owners in detail. He actually revealed which Wrexham co-owner he prefers binge-watching in his free time. Despite Reynolds’ 3 billion+ box office success, Mullin still preferred McElhenney’s sitcom.

The soccer striker also spoke about the club owner’s attitude toward the players. He revealed that the Hollywood duo are just like any other people. Mullin called them ‘genuinely nice people’.

Paul Mullin admits to watching McElhenney’s sitcom over Reynolds’ movies!

Recently, Paul Mullin was on an exclusive interview with Goal. They asked him questions surrounding Wrexham’s co-owners. They wanted to know who’d the striker prefer watching on TV. Ryan Reynolds has been part of a few all-time Hollywood favorites. Some of his greatest movies include Deadpool, The Adam Project, Deadpool 2, Buried, The Proposal, among others.

Despite having a box collection of over $3 billion, Mullin revealed that he preferred watching McElhenney’s sitcom, ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.’ He said, “I’m not a big film person. I don’t tend to watch many films. I knew Rob as Mac from It’s Always Sunny because I’ve watched the show. So, I’ve actually spent more time watching Rob’s sitcom than Ryan’s movies”.

He then revealed that McElhenney was the one who called him up. The striker signed for Wrexham in July 2021 from Cambridge United. While every player looks to make an upgrade at Mullin’s age, the striker decided to do the opposite and drop to a lower soccer league. Without a doubt, he hasn’t regretted that decision ever since.

In the same interview, the lethal striker reveals how the Wrexham bosses treat them behind the scenes. Unsurprisingly, Mullin only had good things to say about them.

The Wrexham superstar claims that Reynolds and McElhenney are just like anyone else. And he knew it from Day 1 itself when he received the call. He quoted, “When I answered the phone from that moment was when I realized that they’re just like us. Just normal human beings like everyone else. They come over and they sit with us and they have dinner”.

“They spend time with us, they speak to us all the time, they are just genuinely nice people”. In short, he assured the fanbase that they’re the same on and off camera. The Welsh soccer club will shortly start their season in the EFL League Two. But prior to that, the Red Dragons will have a few big clashes against teams like Chelsea and Manchester United during the preseason.
