Saudi Arabian clubs following the move of Cristiano Ronaldo have had a massive impact on the soccer transfer window this summer. Multiple big names across Europe have made a switch to the Middle East, following big money deals. With so many names leaving Champions League football for greener pastures. Experts are worried that Saudi could disturb the soccer ecosystem. Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, in an interview, talked about the negative impact of the Saudi clubs.

While the manager was displeased with the deals, he added that there was nothing the team could do if the players want to leave. Now, in a turn of events, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr has bid for one of Manchester City’s veteran centrebacks, hoping to strengthen their defense.

Al Nassr has been busy this summer transfer window bringing some big names to their ranks. The side has already signed the likes of Sadio Mane, and Marcelo Brozovic and is now looking to rope in Man City’s Ayermic Laporte, as per the Athletic.

According to reports, Manchester City has accepted an undisclosed offer from the Saudi side. Following the transfer of Josko Gvardiol to Man City, Laporte has fallen down the pecking order. With the player now surplus to requirements, City would seemingly be open to cash out on the player.
