Kylian Mbappe and his transfer saga was a long and drawn-out affair with no clear end in sight. Meanwhile, Los Blancos appeared to be parting ways after a massive price tag demanded from the PSG star. Though months before this transfer pursuit, Mbappe ended up doing something more surprising than not accepting a dream move to Madrid. And that move was buying a luxurious supercar despite not knowing how to drive one.

Soccer stars are known for indulging in the finer things in life, including expensive cars, which fans view as a status symbol of their success. As a result, the French starlet was no different during his time with PSG. Mbappe spent a whopping $539,775 on a new car while already having a range of luxurious vehicles parked up in his garage.

According to GQ magazine and ACTU Automobile, the PSG striker had opted for a Ferrari 488 Pista with a 720 hp V8 this year. This was a testament to Mbappe’s eye for quality when it came to cars alongside the high-end models in his possession. However, the French international did not possess a driver’s license and relied on a chauffeur to drive him after he moved to Paris.

The former Monaco star reportedly possesses a range of cars, including a Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, an Audi A6, a Mercedes-Benz V-Class, and a Range Rover. Even though the French champions offered to pay for his driving lessons, Mbappe was not keen on driving cars. Meanwhile, Real Madrid had reportedly withdrawn from the race to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer, after PSG made a desperate attempt to keep their star striker.

PSG had set a sky-high price of $270 million for Kylian Mbappe, making it unlikely that he would be sold this summer. As a result, Los Blancos had no choice but to give up on the French talisman for the 2023/2024 season. Meanwhile, it is speculated that Kylian Mbappe was close to extending his contract to continue with Paris Saint-Germain, before his current contract expires next season.
