Well, for one, Neymar, instead of taking to the field for Al Hilal, is currently set to undergo surgery that will keep him out for almost eight months. To add more to their misery, the player just ignored the team’s suggestion of medical expertise and decided to go with his surgeon for the surgery.

With Neymar making his own choice and Al-Hilal still willing to do all they can, this seems like a one-sided love story. Well, like every one-sided love story, Al-Hilal is not ready to give up on him. The team wants to leave no box unchecked as the Brazilian goes under the surgery table this week.

Al-Hilal takes a supportive approach to Neymar Jr’s injury

Notably, the team is ready to do everything possible to make the operation feasible for the Brazilian. According to the reports from Saudi Arabian outlets, Al-Hilal’s medical director Juan Duque will be alongside the player during the surgery.

According to a tweet by Thamer, “What does the Al-Hilal doctor do during Neymar’s operation? – Dr.’s role. Juan Duque (Medical Director at Al Hilal) – Entering with Neymar in the operating room to learn the details of the operation and confirm how it is performed and the extent to which the cartilage and knee are affected.”

Al-Hilal and their medical staff want to keep a record of the entire details surrounding the surgery. The team wishes to accelerate the player’s rehabilitation, providing the Brazilian with world-class medical facilities. Neymar will go under the scalpel this week to treat his torn ligament and meniscus on his left knee.

There have been a lot of concerns surrounding the Brazilian following his latest injury. The player returned to active competition in August after recovering from an ankle injury. However, his return was cut short as he suffered another blow in an international clash against Uruguay last month.

Brazil’s medical staff are confident the player can return in time for the Copa America in 2024.
