However, Notts County dominated the season-end awards and got the most players in the Team of the Season. County is striving for the second promotion spot from the National League. They finished second in the table and made it to the semifinal of the promotion playoffs. Notts County beat Boreham Wood in the semifinal and will play Chesterfield at Wembley in the playoff final.

There has been a norm in soccer to name the Team of the Season along with the Player of the Season and Manager of the Season. The Vanarama National League wasn’t an exception for the same. Notts County dominated the Team of the Season with five players. On the other hand, Wrexham had three players.
The Notts County players that made it to the Team of the Season are Macaulay Langstaff (Striker), Matt Palmer, Ruben Rodrigues (Midfielders), Adam Chicksen, and Kyle Cameron (Defenders). Wrexham AFC players named in the team are Paul Mullin (Striker), Elliot Lee (Midfielder), and Ben Tozer (Defender).

Langstaff peeped Paul Mullin to the Golden Boot of the National League. He scored 42 goals in the season. Super Mullin finished four goals behind the Notts County striker. Langstaff broke the record for the most goals in a single season since it rebranded the league in 2015. The Notts County striker also won the Player of the Season award.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson won the Manager of the Season. He managed the squad greatly in critical situations to help them to the title and the promotion. Overall, despite winning the league, Wrexham got overshadowed by Notts County. The county is gearing up for the playoff final and will have surprise guests to cheer for them at Wembley.

Tozer, in a recent interview, gave an enormous update on Reynolds and McElhenney flying to London this weekend. They will be in attendance for the playoff final between Notts County and Chesterfield.
The Hollywood duo will cheer for their rivals, Notts County. It is a classy gesture from the owners and will motivate County to grab the remaining promotion spot. Whether Notts County makes it to League Two remains to be seen. But they were part of the fascinating title race in the National League.
