They have completely transformed the club from the perils of extinction to become world-beaters in several years. They have widened their fan base in America, and the soccer club is stepping forward each day.

Likewise, they have not only invested in the men’s team but the women’s team as well. The Wrexham women’s team is being promoted to higher leagues because of their sensational performances. Surprisingly, though, the team missed out on the Women’s Football Business Award.

Instead, the award went to Bristol Rovers, who claimed the coveted prize. The team beat the likes of Chelsea and Southampton to win the award. Despite the award snub, Ryan and Rob have explained their desire to invest heavily in the club. Hence, here is the list of winners for the award.

Wrexham women’s team miss out on a prestigious award

The Bristol Rovers Community Trust won the award. The silver place went to Southampton FC, and the bronze went to Chelsea FC. Reacting to the victory, the Bristol Rovers’ official Twitter handle posted acknowledgments for the achievement. In the tweet, the club’s official Twitter handle mentioned, “Brilliant news! To beat the likes of Chelsea, Southampton and Wrexham to win the Women’s Football Business Award is an amazing achievement.”

As for Wrexham, this result comes surprisingly after a stunning season. The team turned to semi-pro and won Genero Adran North. They will get promoted to top-flight football next season. Apart from giving various contracts to Wrexham players, the women’s team has also received lucrative offers for their players from the owners. Ryan and Rob remain committed to the club’s project totally and not only look at the men’s side.

Significantly, Ryan’s wife, Blake Lively, sponsors the team through her brand, Betty Buzz. There is also more money for the team as the league received more funding following the club’s inclusion. Therefore, the club is doing well to bring the club to the top. The team will also feature very well in the second season of the fabled ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary. All in all, things are looking astonishing for both the men’s and women’s teams of the Wrexham soccer club.
