Months back, one of the club officials revealed that the star duo was ready to invest and lose money if they have to. While they immediately cleared the doubts as they had planned a documentary series that exponentially raised the popularity of the club. However, it seems like Reynolds and McElhenney are still losing money.

Since the financial year has just ended, the balance sheets of teams have become points of interest among fans. Fans have the will to know how teams did financially for the last year. Wrexham’s financial statement has shocked the fans.

The club has lost around $70k a week on average. While this sounds like a piece of horrible news, there are a few reasons behind these numbers. The team is on the promotion-worthy dream of a run and they are in no mood to take chances. Wrexham has signed players worth 1.4 million USD in 2022-23 which is now a National League record.

Apart from that, Wrexham has reportedly doubled its staff since the operations need more staff as the covid restriction lifts. While the loss sounds way too much, the numbers are inflated because of many key investments made by the club. Wrexham has seen an unfathomable 404% rise in revenue from last year as they generated 7.4 million USD in the 2022-23 financial year.

Every bit of focus is on promotion!

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has recently made a statement that sums up the priority of the club. Parkinson clarified that despite major off-season matches announced, the club’s 100% focus is to get that automatic promotion that they seem to be destined for this season.
