Cristiano Ronaldo always caused a stir with his transfers. Be it a then record-breaking transfer from Manchester United to Real Madrid or from Real Madrid to Juventus. Even his return to Manchester from Turin surprised many. However, his second stint at United turned sour, and he had to leave the club under controversial circumstances.

Carlo Pinsoglio is somewhat of an unfamiliar name to soccer fans, except for the Bianconeri fans. The 33-year-old goalkeeper joined Juventus in 2014. He played on loan for the next three seasons but is with the Turin-based club since the 2017-2018 season. Pinsoglio just made five appearances for the club in the Serie A over the last five years.

He was a teammate with Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese’ move to Turin in 2018. His contract was set to expire at the end of this season, and hence Ronaldo approached him to join Al Nassr with him in January. It would have made him the second-choice goalkeeper behind David Ospina. However, the Juventus star declined the offer from Ronaldo.

After three months, Pinsoglio extended the contract with Bianconeri. He signed an extension till 2025. Many of his teammates congratulated the goalkeeper on the contract extension. Despite rejecting an offer from Ronaldo, the Portuguese congratulated the Italian with “Grande,” on his social media post. It seems Ronaldo didn’t hold any grudge.
