Ever since Gerard Pique and Shakira had their high-profile breakup, the saga has been full of controversies. 9 months have passed, and it looks like both of them have moved on. Shakira has been making music, although with two recent diss tracks on Pique, while the ex-Barcelona star has been invested in his latest endeavor, Kings League.

Kings League is an unconventional form of soccer featuring shorter matches and unique rules. This form of soccer competition has been a hit among viewers. Now Pique appears to be trying to take it to a territory from where he’s already facing some major consequences.
Gerard Pique’s plans for the Kings League
Gerard pique recently appeared in an interview with the Spanish Media outlet EL PAÍS. With the Kings League’s final just right around the corner, Pique talked about the league. At one point, the interviewer asked, “Can Kings League also grow?”

The 36-year-old hinted that their next target is Latin America. “If we do it well, we have Kings League for a while. The issue is how,” Pique shared. “In Spain, it is well known, but in other markets not so much. We have to see how we expand, to which countries we go”.
The soccer legend further added, “Next year we want to land in Latin America so that they know the sport, show, entertainment, and debate product”. One noteworthy thing is that Latin America also includes Shakira’s home country, Colombia. Pique’s decision to take Kings League to Latin America might not be the best idea considering the heat he is receiving from Shakira’s fans.
Gerard Pique reveals consequences in Colombia following breakup with Shakira
Ever since their split, Gerard Pique has received some strong backlash from fans of Shakira. And things are probably worse in Shakira’s home country, Colombia, regarding their thoughts on Pique. Pique recently made this revelation on a Twitch stream.

Pique recently made a revealing statement, saying “In Colombia, in Colombia, I already have him (the Christ)”. To make it clear, “having in Christ” is a special Spanish phrase. It usually means that the opposition has prepared something bad for you, such as an adverse reception.
