Neymar was originally a product of the Brazilian club Santos FC. The Brazilian star started his soccer journey there and then decided to move to Europe for a limelight-filled career at FC Barcelona. Now, reports are emerging that the Brazilian is planning to go back to his home club. Neymar wants to move back to Santos FC once his contract with Saudi Club Al Hilal expires.
Neymar left Santos in 2013 to arrive in Barcelona for a fee of $55 million. From there, the star formed a strong on and off-field bond with fellow South Americans Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
The trio went on to create magic at the Catalan club for four years before Neymar decided to move to Paris Saint-Germain for a record fee of $237 million. The forward scored 118 goals in 173 appearances for the Paris club.

Reason for a precise 2-year Al Hilal deal
Neymar moved to Al Hilal for a two-year deal this August. The reason for a two-year contract is because Neymar would like to go back to Santos a year before the next World Cup. The current contract will be valid till mid 2025, after which Neymar will head to Brazil.

The deal with Al Hilal is estimated to be around $438 million. Neymar already expressed his interest in moving back to Santos earlier this year. Even before the Al Hilal deal turned up, Neymar had plans to move out of PSG to go to Santos and continue his soccer journey. Neymar’s start at Al Hilal was delayed by a month due to his incomplete recovery from injury. But now the star will look to shrug off all the World Cup disappointment to start his journey ahead.
