Despite Disagreement With Ex Shakira Over Kids, Gerard Pique to Leave GF for Miami

Shakira’s recent appearance at the MTV VMA 2023 is creating quite a buzz among fans. The Colombian, however, is yet again in a dispute with her ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique over their children’s vacation plans. After gaining primary custody, she moved to Miami, while Pique got visitation rights every ten days. The dispute now involves differing school vacation schedules in Spain and the United States. And so, Gerard Pique will now be heading to Miami.

Amidst ongoing disputes, Shakira’s VMA award added a unique twist to their breakup saga. The pop star, meanwhile, is hoping to find common ground with Gerard Pique for their children’s happiness during the festive season.

Gerard Pique and Shakira’s agreed summer custody plan for their children, Milan and Sasha, is not particularly working out. The former couple wants to ensure that the kids spend time with both parents. Las Mamarazzis, a Spanish podcast show, reported that this arrangement will now undergo a fresh review, following the children’s return to school.

In anticipation, Gerard Pique plans to travel to Miami in the coming days. He intends to personally pick up the kids on Wednesday, September 20, temporarily stepping away from Clara Chía, as per Semana.

The negotiations between Gerard and Shakira still continue. There has been a shake-up in the form of  Ramon Tamborero’s daughter now representing Pique, and Shakira enlisting a new international law-focused legal firm a few months ago.

Lorena Vazquez and Laura Fa, hosts of Las Mamarazzis, highlighted the strange nature of this summer’s custody agreement. They underscored the innovative approach to co-parenting by the former Barcelona man and Shakira. In addition, they also commended Shakira for her exceptional performance at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

Shakira shone at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in Newark, USA. She won the ‘Video Vanguard’ award for her career and global influence, the first Latin American to do so. She also won the ‘Best Collaboration’ award for “TQG” with Karol G. The pop icon thanked her children, Milan and Sasha, in an emotional acceptance speech.

In a heartfelt moment at the event, Shakira paused to acknowledge her children, Milan and Sasha, both of whom were present at the gala donning matching Versace outfits. Milan expressed his thoughts on his mother’s attire. As translated by DeepL, he said in succinct two-words, “super pretty.” She then expressed profound gratitude to both of her children, recognizing their unwavering support throughout a challenging personal year.
