With the summer transfer window in full effect, teams are gearing up to sign some top names. Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Al Nassr is planning to sign some of the top players in the Premier League. According to reports, Al Nassr is looking to sign a top goalkeeper this summer, with the team identifying Aston Villa star Emiliano Martinez as their target man.
This is a big surprise considering the history Martinez has had with Cristiano Ronaldo. The Aston Villa star had a go at Ronaldo during his run with Manchester United. Martinez tried his best to rile the Portuguese into taking penalties after Bruno Fernandes skied his against the goalkeeper. Following that incident, Martinez has gone out of his way on multiple occasions to claim Cristiano Ronaldo is not the greatest player of all time.

While Al Nassr is interested in Emiliano Martinez’s services, it could be just one-sided. We need to consider that Aston Villa just qualified for the Champions League. So Martinez may not be in the mood to ditch his side. Moreover, out of all the players who have gone to the Saudi Pro League, none of them have been at their prime like Emiliano Martinez!

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr still interested in top Premier League names
Emiliano Martinez isn’t the only player on Al Nassr’s radar. The Knights of Najd continue to maintain their interest in Manchester City star Bernardo Silva and Liverpool’s Luis Diaz. With Al Nassr star Talisca attracting interest from multiple European clubs, Al Nassr wants some top names to keep the squad sorted around Cristiano Ronaldo.
Luis Castro’s side is also at risk of losing some of their key defenders, which could force them to look towards the more important options rather than chase star players across Europe. However, the entire situation can turn on its head with a potential move for Kevin De Bruyne thrown into the mix.

De Bruyne opened the doors to a potential move to Saudi Arabia in a recent interview. The Manchester City star stated, “You’re talking about incredible sums of money during what might well be the twilight of my career. We are increasingly having such conversations as a family. At my age, you have to be open to everything.”
While getting his signatures won’t be easy, Manchester City is likely to let him go for an exorbitant fee, which Saudi Arabia has no problems with!
