Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr could make a massive announcement in the coming weeks. The Cristiano Ronaldo-led side has been on the top of their game, signing some top names across Europe. With the team achieving significant results on the field, the club is now looking to reinforce its backroom staff. The Middle Eastern side is currently in close contact with a Juventus legend, who is edging towards a move to the club.

While the club is doing all it can, Cristiano Ronaldo will have a lot on his plate before his upcoming clash. The star is currently embroiled in a legal dispute against his former employer Juventus. The Portuguese has claimed that Juventus failed to pay him over $21 million in wages during his time at the club. However, the side has denied Cristiano’s claims, leading to both parties heading to a court trial.

Al Nassr is close to securing the services of Juventus legend, Alessandro Del Piero. The two parties have been in touch over the technical director position, with Del Piero edging closer to signing with the Saudi side.

Alessandro Del Piero earlier this year had commented on Cristiano’s move to Saudi Arabia. He claimed it could be an enormous boost for the Saudi Pro League. “Cristiano’s move to Al Nassr represents a quantum leap. There are a large number of those interested in sports who will be keen to know the latest news of the Saudi League. So there will be a great impact on Saudi football that will extend for a long time.”

While this could be a big move for the Saudi side, it will be interesting to see the dynamics between the former Juventus stars. Cristiano Ronaldo is currently embroiled in a legal controversy with the Italian side, claiming the side owes him $21.2 million.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus headed towards legal trial

The Al Nassr captain is gearing up for a legal battle against his former Italian employers. Ronaldo has claimed that Juventus has yet to pay him $21.2 million in unpaid wages, while Juventus has denied the claims made by the Portuguese. The club has claimed that Ronaldo, during his departure, signed an agreement with the side that says he had no outstanding dues with the club.

Italian media outlet, La Gazzetta Dello Sport has reported that Juventus holds no interest in paying the Al Nassr star. The two parties are set to face off against each other in court in a legal trial.
