It seems Wrexham is becoming a fan favorite around the world. The club is constantly in the headlines and is making quite a name for itself. Those who don’t even follow the club or soccer seem to have become quite a follower.
The club is currently on cloud nine and is at the top of the league table. Phil Parkinson’s side recently clinched an emphatic 2-1 victory against Bromley. Moreover, a draw for Notts County was just icing on the cake for Wrexham, as they got a four-point lead on their arch-rivals.

It was quite a victory for them, and the players deserve all the credit. Hence, in order to celebrate, a few club players, including Paul Mullin, Jordan Davies, Rory Watson, and Ollie Palmer, went to watch the UFC 286 fight.
Dana White asks Wrexham players for a photo
It was a well-deserving win for the Red Dragons, and the players definitely needed to celebrate their win. All the players were able to witness the emphatic win of Leon Edwards over Kamaru Usman in the welterweight main event. They also saw Justin Gaethje’s win over Rafael Fiziev in the lightweight co-main event.
Mullin shared the picture on his Instagram with a cheeky caption, “Unreal night with the boys!! The main man [Dana White] was kind enough to ask for a photo.” It seems the sun rose from the west as White himself asked the Wrexham players to get a picture clicked.

All the Red Dragon players were spotted at the O2 and were enjoying the moment. In fact, the night became more memorable after the UFC president, Dana White met with the Wrexham stars.
Yes, the same old Dana White, who used to despise soccer as a sport. Yet, something changed in the UFC president and he met with the players delightfully. Either way, it was a cheeky hit from Mullin on White.
What did Dana say about soccer?
Many must be wondering what changed in White, as he himself slammed soccer once in his own words. Over the years, the American businessman has been lambasting soccer and has never been a fan of it.
A few years ago, a famous clip of him criticizing soccer was found, in which he first talked about hockey being his least favorite sport. But he added that he had quite a respect for the talent it requires.

However, his words became quite vindictive as he had few strong words to say about soccer. “Soccer? That’s a whole other ball. Can’t stand soccer. It’s the least-talented sport on Earth. There’s a reason three-year-olds can play soccer,” said White.
“When you’re playing a game when the net is that big and the score is 3-1 (and that’s a blowout) are you kidding me? You know how untalented you have to be to score three times when the net is that big?” he added.

These words really show how much he disliked this sport, but it seems time changes people, and so has his opinion. We reckon Wrexham is behind this astounding change.
