Taylor Swift has taken the internet by storm recently. The American singer has surpassed both Messi and Ronaldo in popularity as per the search volumes on Google. The 12-time Grammy winner has an average of 46 points on Google Trends. On the other hand, Messi averaged only 9 points, which is far from the American sensation. The Portuguese captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, averaged 22 points.

There is no doubt that the two soccer stars have been at the very top over the past years. But their recent drop in popularity can be linked to their recent exit from European football. In contrast, Taylor Swift has become one of the most prominent singers in the 21st century. She has an enormous fan base, and her fans are referred to as ‘Swifties’. The singer has an astounding 101 Guinness World Records to her name. She has also sold more than 200 million album copies.
