Have you heard? Rumors of Neymar Jr. joining Inter Miami are back again. Just last year, the Brazilian superstar was expected to join the MLS side after deciding to leave PSG, though he ultimately committed to Al Hilal. Now, the possibility lingers—not only because of his recent $26 million splurge in the ‘Magic City,’ but also due to an old video that resurfaced out of the blue, revealing a special decade-long agreement that David Beckham was eager to offer Neymar!
What video? Of course, this question is valid as only a few would remember. For the rest who are still scratching their heads, allow us to explain. In 2020, an OTRO exclusive shared an interview seeing Neymar Jr and David Beckham having a special tete-a-tete with each other. Interestingly, during the conversation, Beckham put a special request on the table for the Brazilian trickster.
“I’m going to get you to sign a piece of paper after, a blank piece of paper. It’s going to be a contract for Miami for 10 years time. I’m not going to pay much,” said Becks lightheartedly with Neymar also having a laugh hearing this proposal. Whether it was a joke or not, the forward who was still with PSG at that time agreed and responded, “Deal, Deal,” with a laugh, as both soccer icons shook hands.

Mind you, this admission from the Manchester United icon for Neymar was made at a time when the current Miami stars including Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets were still at FC Barcelona. Many did think bringing Ney to America was a joke but last year, it almost seemed a possibility after David, Victoria, and Neymar were spotted together in a restaurant in Miami, thanks to an image posted by the English icon himself on Facebook.
Unfortunately, what was thought to be a meeting with the former Santos man to join the Herons actually turned out to be a get-together dinner. That’s because the cheeky caption from DB7 was enough to pour cold water on the rumors of Neymar reuniting with all four Barca teammates. as it read, “Welcome to Miami, my friend 🩷 (only for dinner 😂)”
Days later, Neymar revealed that Messi had personally asked him on a phone call to consider a move to MLS; “I spoke with Lionel Messi, and he asked me to come to Inter Miami.” Of course, that was a request that the 32-year-old himself is eager to fulfill as the winger once noted, “I hope we can play together again.”

In fact, after the interview with Becks, Ney even promised to keep the former Real Madrid midfielder’s word. As per @InterMiamiCFHub on X, he once said, “I told him I will play there(Inter Miami) one day, I believe this is a great opportunity for the country, and as I said before, I already have my contract with David. A few years from now, I will be there.”

All about Neymar Jr’s latest million-dollar purchase as a potential move to Inter Miami spices up!
According to various sources, Neymar has allegedly splurged over $26 million on a piece of waterfront land in Miami. According to the records of the property, it is situated in the exclusive, gated community of Bal Harbour. The total area of the land is 0.63 acres and boasts 150 feet along the Intracoastal Waterway.

Additionally, the purchase also includes approved plans for a 13,000-square-foot residence crafted by London design firm Elicyon. As per Zillow, the property was last listed at $28.5 million but Neymar and his entourage seem to have negotiated for a cut-deal price. Of course, being a raw land, the soccer star would have to construct it according to his own needs and personalization.
However, this latest reported purchase is enough to suggest that the Al Hilal star might be looking to leave Saudi Arabia, as his contract with the Blue Waves expires in the summer of 2025. Regardless, share your thoughts on the same.
