Wrexham AFC, co-owned by actor Ryan Reynolds, had a Hollywood visitor for the game on Saturday. The club is taking on 9th-placed Wealdstone and is currently second in the National League table behind Notts County. Meanwhile, Reynolds’ co-star from the 2022 movie Spirited is in town to attend the game, and the Deadpool star has trolled him on social media.

Wrexham will look for a win in the game to go top of the table on goal difference with Notts County. Since Hollywood’s takeover of the club, the club is not new to celebrities visiting the game. Ferrell, while speaking to Men in Blazers podcast a few days back, announced he will visit the Wrexham game in February. The Spirited actor has fulfilled his promise. He is also planning to visit QPR and Fulham games, as told in the podcast.
Ryan Reynolds trolls his co-actor
Ryan Reynolds took to Instagram to send a message to Will Ferrell, who is attending Saturday’s game of Wrexham against Wealdstone. He wrote, “Welcome 3 times golden lederhosen award winner Will Ferrell to the Racecourse Ground for today’s match,” taking a friendly dig at his co-star.

Earlier, the official Instagram handle of Wrexham AFC posted a reel welcoming the minority owner of MLS champions Los Angeles FC. Ferrell shared a message, “Hi, this is Will Ferrell, and this is my first time here at Wrexham. And I am really excited to see the match here, and I am a little nervous,” in the reel before laughing out loud.

Before the game, fans spotted Ferrell enjoying a drink at the local pub with the fans. He was at the pub named The Turf and was seen chatting with the fans with a sip of a pint. Wrexham, after getting knocked out from the FA Cup to the second division club Sheffield United is completely focused on the league. The National League winners get automatic promotion to the third division without playing in playoffs.
