Days Ahead of NWSL Opener, Kevin Durant’s Gotham FC Players Attend Ted Lasso Season 3 Screening

Ted Lasso has become the talk of the town. Fans around the world are loving the American comedy-drama series for all the obvious reasons. The show is a sports comedy-drama series, based on an American soccer coach who is hired to manage a British team.

Stars including Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham have lit up the show with their amazing acting. Moreover, the show has been nominated for many prestigious awards, including the Emmy.

The show is such a hit that they recently released a third season that has all 12 episodes. Fans are really excited about the new season, which is exclusively available on Apple+.

Gotham FC stars attend the screening of Ted Lasso

Besides netizens, it seems the show has even caught the eyes of many superstars and athletes. In fact, several stars were present on the day of the season 3 screening that took place in New York on Wednesday.

Besides the whole cast and crew of Ted Lasso, they were accompanied by Kevin Durant’s Gotham FC players. Stars including Kelly O’Hara, Kristie Mewis, and Lynn Williams, were all there to attend the screening.

Mewis shared a few glimpses of Wednesday’s screening on her Instagram story. The Gotham trio also met with Ted Lasso, aka Jason Sudeikis, as she posted the photo on her social media.

Moreover, NWSL also posted a photo tagging all the superstars and their team with the caption, “Football is life!” While sharing the picture, Mewis wrote, “Thanks for having us” in her story, thus expressing gratitude to Variety magazine and Apple+.

Preparations for NWSL continue

With the new season of the NWSL set to begin, Gotham FC is looking to turn things around this year. The Goths endured one of the worst seasons during the 2022 campaign, thus finishing the season at the bottom.

However, they are ready to bounce back, as they have been quite busy rebuilding the whole squad. Juan Carlos Amorós’ side has made several additions to their squad, including the likes of Lynn Williams, Kelly O’Hara, and Abby Smith.

Moreover, the club even tailored a few exits from the club, as several of them were not given new contracts. Nevertheless, the club looks quite focused as they prepare for the opening game of their season against new side Angel City which will kick off on March 26.
