With inevitable promotion in sight, Wrexham AFC looks to plan their forthcoming season. They are the league leaders of the soccer National League with 94 points, and getting promoted seems likely.

Although Notts County is right at their back with 91 points, Wrexham’s game in hand proves crucial for the club. Hence, they are looking for potential players for the next season, with Bristol Rovers winger Harry Anderson, on top of the purchase list.

Several League One and League Two clubs are looking at the prospect of bringing them to the clubs. Thus, it shows as an ambitious scoop to get him into Wrexham. Anderson is in the final months of the contract, and several clubs are monitoring his situation. Having the $12 million stadium expansion plans planned, they would want to strike cheap deals to balance the finances. Thus, Wrexham is on the right way.

Wrexham aims to bring in a free-agent utility man!

One of the key reasons he draws attention is because of his versatility. He can play anywhere adding tactical flexibility to these teams. As the player has not agreed to a contract extension with his current club, Wrexham will be a good fit for the player. It is a challenge to lead the possible promotion-getters to a respected finish.

Along with Wrexham, various clubs are looking into the player. Soccer clubs like Charlton Athletic, Bradford City, Portsmouth, and Swindon Town are scouting to get him into the club.

Currently, the player is injured, which causes concern for most managers. But the issue with staying fit is a problem that he possesses. Bristol Rovers manager, Joey Barton, reveals how his injury problems are a problem in getting him a contract extension. He underwent surgery in the groin, keeping him out for several months. Offering a contract to an injury-prone player might be risky, but Wrexham and others are keen to get him in.

The manager explained how a new contract is still on the cards. He said, “I really like Harry, I think he’s a great squad and team man, we had a conversation with him in and around Christmas.” Turning to Wrexham’s point of view, the finances look right for them to bring players into their club.

Stadium expansion plans can probably tighten their purse

In January, Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney started plans to expand the Racecourse Ground. They are developing a 5,500-capacity stand for fans, and significant improvements in the stadium are in place. Moreover, the stadium’s capacity will increase from 10,000 to 15,500.

More fans mean more revenue in terms of ticket sales and merchandising. After putting Wrexham on the map through the famous tv show ‘Welcome to Wrexham,’ Ryan Reynolds aims to bring the club back to the Premier League in several years.
