Over the years, Ryan Reynolds has turned into a fan favorite. Since taking over Wrexham, the Deadpool star has been the talk of the soccer town too. For the last few months, the Hollywood star has been trying to get hold of another sports club, but this time in the NHL. While it is an interesting opportunity, the comedic actor is facing severe competition from other renowned names.

Very recently, sources claimed that Reynolds was gearing up to launch a gigantic $1 billion bid to potentially close the deal.

But, the Wrexham co-owner might face late competition as an ‘aggressive’ Snoop Dogg has just entered the race.

Snoop Dogg could own a sports team!

Snoop Dogg could be the latest entrant in the Senators’ takeover saga. The potential sale of the NHL club has been going on for months. Rumors surrounding Ryan Reynolds buying the hockey team started last December. A source recently told the Athletic, “He’s passionately involved. He’s coming up with ideas. And he’s legitimately excited. He wants this team”.

The legendary rapper has reportedly joined a diverse 12-man consortium called the Sparks. Sources strongly claim that the Sparks group is not scared by the latest $1 billion price tag. The Sparks group reportedly only comprises ‘people of color’. Snoop Dogg’s sudden entry in the latter stages of the deal could be a serious driving factor mentally for the Sparks.

Either way, Reynolds already has a slight advantage over the 12-man Sparks group. NHL Commissioner, Gary Bettman desperately wants the comedic actor to somehow become a part of the NHL.
