Just days after Cristiano Ronaldo left the Al Nassr camp to join the Portugal national team for their upcoming EURO qualifiers, Al Nassr got struck with an injury crisis. Reports state that Al-Nassr’s latest signing, Aymeric Laporte is facing an uncalled injury and will undergo a medical examination. The Spanish center-back joined Al Nassr from Manchester City in a deal worth $29.77 million in order to boost Al Nassr’s backline.

As reported by @9NFCBALL through a tweet shared on Twitter, the 29-year-old Spanish center-back is feeling pain in his ankle and will undergo a medical examination to confirm the extent of his injury.

Laporte’s injury is a major setback for Al Nassr, who had invested heavily in the 29-year-old in the hopes that he would help them challenge for the title. The Spanish international is one of the top defenders in the world and his absence could be a huge loss to the team.

Al-Nassr will need to find a way to solve their squad crisis if they want to win the Saudi Pro League title this season. This comes at a time when Al Nassr are also facing stiff competition from their rivals Al Hilal and Al Ittihad. These two teams have been strengthening their squads in recent months, and they are now one of the favorites to win the title.

Al Nassr to bank on Cristiano Ronaldo and his prowess to challenge for the title

Al Nassr currently sits at the sixth position in the Saudi Pro League table, with four points behind the leaders, Al-Hilal. With Cristiano Ronaldo already helping them out in bagging the first title of the season at last month’s King Salman Club Cup, Al Nassr will be looking forward to more of his charisma to challenge for the league title.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been on the helm for Al Nassr in their recent victories, as the Portuguese superstar continued his scoring streak to help his club climb up the table. The 5x-Ballon d’Or winner is currently the top scorer and assist provider in the Saudi Pro League, with six goals and four assists under his belt. The Saudi giants will be hoping for their star man to continue his form for the club in the upcoming league matches.

Ronaldo has already made a positive impact on Al Nassr and helped the team to improve their form. His presence has also boosted the morale of the team, and they are now confident that they can challenge for the title.

With Aymeric Laporte under contention to remain on the sidelines for the next few games, depending upon his injury, Al Nassr will be hoping for their star man to return from international duty uninjured. Cristiano Ronaldo will be demanded to lead the line for Al Nassr in their quest to conquer the Saudi Pro League.
