According to reports, Jose Manuel Otero, a Real Madrid board member, believes the club will sign the Frenchman in 2024. There have been a lot of rumours surrounding Kylian Mbappe’s future. While a majority of the fans expect the player to join Real Madrid for free next season, there’s one section of fans that believe that the player could renew with PSG.

However, this could be a big moment for all the parties involved. If Madrid fails to land Mbappe this time around, the team might just turn their head away from the player after being burned too many times. Los Blancos have been long-time admirers of the Frenchman, but have failed to land him for different reasons in the past few seasons.

Earlier this summer, Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti had closed down the speculations surrounding Mbappe, claiming that his squad was close for the season.

When the manager was asked about the possibility of signing Mbappe this season, Ancelotti made it clear that his team would not be making any new signings this season following some key arrivals.

“No, I rule it out 100%. I think our squad is closed, and our players are thinking about our season. Someone may change their mind, but I am not afraid of that.”

While Real Madrid is surely looking to secure the services of the Frenchman for a free, things will not be as easy as one would imagine. PSG is willing to do everything in its power to ensure Mbappe does not walk out as a free agent.
