Inter Miami has been on cloud nine after securing the signature of soccer legend Lionel Messi. The Argentine made a fairytale debut for the club in his opening game, marking his arrival. Messi scored a last-minute screamer, guiding his team past the finish line.
With Lionel Messi’s arrival, Inter Miami was expecting seats to be packed up to the brim. However, recent ticket sales have put a massive dent in the team’s expectations. Despite having the biggest attraction across the nation, the failure to fill seats has forced Miami to take a massive step for its upcoming games.

Following Lionel Messi’s stunning debut, David Beckham’s side hoped to capitalize on the moment as Miami increased their ticket prices for the coming games. However, the move backfired during the game against Atlanta United, with over 20% of tickets reportedly going unsold.
Following the embarrassment, Inter Miami has reduced its ticket prices by 33%. The cheapest tickets which were sold at $180 have been now reduced to just $121. With the David Beckham-owned side setting the prices for some pitch-side tickets for over $1000, fans are seemingly reluctant to pay high prices for a league game.
While Inter Miami has a big chance on its hands, the team will have to be patient with their approach. Hiking prices right from the get-go will not give the fans the time to transition, which could hurt the team’s sales further. However, despite the minor setback off the field, Inter Miami has been on a roll with its recent performances.
