There was a lot of buzz about David Beckham trolling his wife in his new docuseries. Even though the brief event amused the fans, the Inter Miami owner’s antics annoyed the director.

The former England captain released a documentary called Beckham about his life journey. The episodes take the viewers through the struggles and achievements of the star. After being well-received by the fans, its director, Fisher Stevens, shared his experience with the hilarious Beckham troll.

David Beckham surprised director Steven Fischer

Despite being recognized as an emotional account of Beckham’s life, the show contains moments of cheesiness and witty humor. The director wanted the piece to be more honest and deep, but the former Manchester United skipper’s sudden video bombing into Posh’s interview surprised him.

Talking to Seth Meyers on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Steven said, “Well, I was kind of pissed off, because I was like, What is he doing here?”

Fisher confessed to initially being annoyed by it, but later, as it turned out, it became the show’s most popular scene. The Oscar-winning director planned the documentary through candid interviews with the characters in private.

Seth Meyers calls the scene mic-dropping

The troll scene of Victoria and David Beckham was one of the first scenes to pick up traction on social media.

The scene involves Victoria Beckham talking about growing up and calling her family working-class. In reaction, Beckham suddenly pops up, asking her to name the car her father used to drop her at school. Posh initially tries to evade the question but finally concedes to the persistent husband saying, “Okay, in the 80s, my dad had a Rolls-Royce.”

The concluding line from Victoria turned out to be the most hilarious among fans. Taking a jibe at Beckham, Meyers said about the scene, “You know why he had to get outta there? Cuz he dropped the mic, and it was so good.”
