It has certainly been a season of mixed fortunes for David Beckham‘s Inter Miami. After signing Argentine soccer superstar Lionel Messi from PSG, Beckham turned the franchise around from being an American minnow into a global brand. The club’s soaring popularity was further evident as the world’s fastest sprinter, Usain Bolt, and a $2 billion American filmmaker and fashion designer attended Miami’s last home game.

Inter Miami missed qualifying for the playoffs after Messi struggled with an injury following his mesmerizing start to life in America. Miami, of course, won the Leagues Cup as Messi lifted his first piece of silverware for his new club. However, despite Messi being away on international duty, Inter Miami saw an almost full house at the DRV PNK Stadium as the game against Charlotte ended 2-2. But owner David Beckham took to Instagram to post about his high-profile guests at the game.

Taking to Instagram to thank the high-net-worth individuals who attended Miami’s final home game at the DRV PNK Stadium, Inter Miami owner David Beckham posted a couple of stories on the social media platform with Usain Bolt and Tom Ford. Bolt is, of course, the world’s fastest sprinter, while Ford is a billionaire fashion designer and filmmaker with a net worth of just over $2 billion.

Taking to his official Instagram account, Beckham’s first story with Tom Ford contained the caption, “Tom’s first ever soccer match and he chose Miami @tomford”, while his story with Usain Bolt read: “Thanks for coming my friend @usainbolt”

Beckham’s latest post comes just 15 days after his Netflix documentary titled ‘Beckham’ was released on the streaming platform. This led to huge media coverage worldwide, while Beckham’s celebrity friends, pundits, and ex-teammates alike made their comments about the Inter Miami owner’s docuseries. One such celebrity was British singer Adele, who made comments about binge-watching the documentary into the wee hours of the morning.
