David Beckham has held a long-standing vision of bringing European elites to the MLS. For many soccer fans, the thought of David Beckham, Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappe, in one place, is a dream come true. Even with the rarity of such an event, with countless cogs of the soccer world at work, this is exactly what happened recently.
Beckham may have retired from soccer in 2013, but he still likes to be connected to the sport, with Inter Miami being his current focus. In his recent visit to France, Becks spent some quality time in the capital, Paris, where he saw the Mona Lisa and also spent time with some of the greatest stars of soccer.

David Beckham enjoying his time in France
The retired English soccer legend visited his former club Paris Saint Germain’s (PSG) training facility. Moreover, the Manchester United legend even had the opportunity to meet some of the club’s current stars, such as Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Sergio Ramos. PSG is known to have one of the most star-studded rosters in soccer.
Beckham shared a series of pictures with the stars on his Instagram with him smiling beside the stars. He captioned the photos with ‘PSG’s chant “Ici C’est Paris” meaning “This is Paris”. The former no. 7 also added, “Great to see some old friends at PSG”.

Becks also took some time to visit the Louvre Museum to see the famous Mona Lisa painting, seemingly left in awe of it. He posted another picture of himself in front of the painting with a caption that read “A Masterpiece.. WOW”.

While the sight of seeing Lionel Messi and David Beckham together was pleasing for many fans, it also raised some eyebrows. This is driven by the rumor regarding Messi’s potential transfer to, Inter Miami, the MLS side owned by Beckham.

Inter Miami, David Beckham’s MLS club, is eager to make a strong offer for Lionel Messi if he decides to leave PSG. Reportedly, the team has confidence in their bid and could also pursue reuniting the Argentine superstar with former teammate Sergio Busquets. The signing of Messi would be an incredible achievement; one that would set a new standard in Major League Soccer history.
However, the moves seem more and more unlikely as time passes. Recent reports suggest Messi may be on track for a last dance at his former club FC Barcelona as rumors surrounding his possible move pick up pace. It will be intriguing to see which side comes out on top in this transfer saga.
