Three weeks back, Al Nassr’s U-13 team cemented their position at the top of the U-13 Saudi Premier League. However, Cristiano Ronaldo‘s son and the rest of the U-13 stars had to wait till yesterday for the league’s completion to get their hands on their maiden Saudi League trophy. In pictures shared on Al Nassr’s socials, Cristiano Jr could be seen lifting the silverware with the captain’s armband on- a father-like-son moment indeed. Ronaldo Sr. will be on cloud nine to see his son’s achievement, but he won’t be surprised. The 5x-Ballon d’Or winner foresaw Cristiano Jr chasing glory in his soccer career.

In 2022, Cristiano Ronaldo spoke at length about his 13-year-old son’s work ethic in the Netflix documentary I Am Georgina, which covers the life of his partner Georgina Rodriguez. “Cristiano Jr has the conditions, he has the potential. He has everything to dedicate himself to football and become a professional. I think so,” the proud father Ronaldo said.

Cristiano Jr joined the Al Nassr U-13 team in October 2023. Al Nassr gave him his father’s iconic #7 jersey after joining. The 13-year-old has always been at the epicenter of the U-13’s attack since then. And now he has a title to his cabinet. Anyhow, Cristiano Jr ventured into soccer way before 2023. When his father was in Serie A’s Juventus, he had enrolled in its youth team. Likewise, he also donned the Manchester United youth team’s colors during Ronaldo’s second stint with the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s son wants to share a stage with him

“My son tells me: Dad, hold on a few more years, I want to play with you!,” Cristiano Ronaldo said in an interview last year. The young boy’s dream is not too far-fetched. Since he had a dream start with Al Nassr’s U-13 team, he could rise through the ranks and land a position in the club’s senior team in his teenage. However, only time will tell as to how long CR7 will play the beautiful game. Rumors have it that he might stay enough to have a shot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. But Georgina recently hinted he might hang his boots before that.

Considering that is too little time for a 13-year-old to make it to a senior team, the dream father-son union might be called off. Anyhow, Ronaldo is yet to speak out on the prospects of playing for his son. He is now focused on scoring goals and chasing silverware with Al Nassr.
