Let’s be honest. Gone are those days when Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi dominated the headlines. New players are in town. They have taken the spotlight. Some might say Ronaldo cannot accept he’s lost some of his mojo. Others say he needs to move on from Al Nassr. Although the former thought might depend on various factors, moving from Al Nassr is a sure-shot possibility following the latest update.

According to Al Nassr Zone’s X page, the situation at the Saudi Pro League club looks set for a meltdown. Board member Qafari Al-Qafari follows the president and officially submits his resignation. Before this, Al Nassr President Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al-Muhaidib resigned from his post, after various internal disputes with the Chairman of the Board of Directors Raid Ismail, and CEO Guido Fienga. Notably, the board of directors will most likely dissolve in the future. It is expected that the board members will submit their resignations.

The president of the club also resigned due to various issues. Al-Muhaidib arrived for a meeting for three hours to discuss funding a new coach, two new local players, and three foreign players to bolster the team. But the higher-ups rejected the offer, leading to his resignation. He took to X to voice his opinions on the matter.

He mentioned, “In the interest of the Nasraoui entity, the club is managed by one party. And he is responsible for it before everyone. The presence of two club administrations may hinder the success of the club. Therefore, in the interest of the club, I submit my resignation. I am sure the situation will change for the better with the presence of one administration running the club. I will continue to support everyone who works to serve the club. Good luck to our global idol.”
