The French super striker is promised to receive millions of dollars as milestone payments if he decides to stay with the French side beyond 2023. Mbappe’s salary reportedly covers 19.56% of the team’s payroll.

Kylian Mbappe is known to have been a big Cristiano Ronaldo fan since childhood. Kylian Mbappe’s father, Wilfried Mbappe, has previously revealed how crazy his son was for the Portuguese legend. In an interview with France Football, Wilfried Mbappe said, “He is a Real Madrid fan and his idol is Cristiano Ronaldo. He used to spend hours watching videos [of Ronaldo] on the internet”.

Mbappe used to have pictures of the Portuguese star stuck up all over the walls of his bedroom. Many photos have surfaced online where we can see young Mbappe posing with his Monaco jersey against his Ronaldo-themed bedroom wall.

The French super striker has also imitated Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous ‘SUI’ celebration in a France U19 game. He’s also shown his admiration for Ronaldo at times on social media. In 2020, Mbappe posted a few candid pictures of himself with his childhood hero on Twitter.
