Is Ronaldo wasting his talent on YouTube when he should be dominating the football field?

Can you think of any athlete who started a YouTube channel and truly changed the entire website landscape? No, right? Well, Cristiano Ronaldo has done that efficiently. With over 45.5 million subscribers, Ronaldo’s course to challenge MrBeast for the most subscribed individual on YouTube stays on track. Yet, some questions arise about this jump into content creation. Was it too soon?

ESPN soccer analyst Julien Laurens joined Gab Marcotti to voice their concerns about his YT channel, ‘UR Cristiano‘. Usually, athletes have a glorious career and soon after they retire, they explore ways to have a sustainable income. Some athletes have a content show focusing on various lifestyles, a travel blog, etc, and generate revenue with views they receive for that specific content. The ESPN analysts believe it would be interesting to watch what content Ronaldo would give out to his fans. Challenging MrBeast on YT subscribers won’t be a straightforward task. It’s an interesting development in Ronaldo’s life. However, Gab Marcotti believes Ronaldo should first focus on his soccer career.

In his quick take, Marcotti mentioned, “I am curious to know where he goes with this. I just want to see him keep playing. Keep playing as long as you can coz for now, you’re a better footballer.” Like every soccer fan, the time is nearing for legends like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to untie their laces. They have ruled the soccer fraternity for ages and continue to do so, in one way or another. Consequently, Marcotti believes Ronaldo should refocus his goals on YouTube after he retires from the game.

Marcotti stated, “Maybe after you retire, you’ll become bigger than MrBeast.” As most of us know, MrBeast holds the title of the undisputed king of YouTube with 312 million subscribers. Yet, Ronaldo already has 45.5 million in four days. Just four days!

He received the famous Silver Creator, Golden Creator, and Diamond Creator titles in hours. With MrBeast’s videos on crushing a Lamborghini with the largest shredder, it would probably take time for Ronaldo to think out of the box. However, safe to say that we are with Marcotti. We want to see Ronaldo play soccer before he retires.
