Al Nassr might have to go through some more roadblocks before their Kings Cup clash against Al Hilal. Cristiano Ronaldo and his men will face the Saudi Pro League champions in the finals of the Kings Cup later this week. However, according to reports, the Saudi Arabian Football Association has summoned 8 Al Nassr players for their dope test before the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo alongside Otavio, Sadio Mane, David Ospina, Ali Lajami, Abdullah Al Khaibari, Ayman Yahya, and Abdulrahman Ghareeb have been summoned by the federation to provide samples for their dope test. If any of the players are found guilty of using a prohibited substance, they could have massive repressions heading into the finals.

Surprisingly, no Al Hilal player has been called by the association. This could most likely be a regular dope test, with some of Al Nassr’s players called in batches for their test before the federation does the same for Al Hilal. Both teams will be eager to get their hands around the Kings Cup title. While Al Hilal will look to make a clean sweep over the Middle Eastern silverware, Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr will be in search of their first title of the season.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr face their biggest challenge against Al Hilal

The Knights of Najd will be put to the sword this week as they try to put an end to their losing streak against Al Hilal. Cristiano Ronaldo and his men have failed to get a win over Al Hilal on a single occasion, with their last win coming during the pre-season. The two rivals last faced each other in the Saudi Super Cup where Al Hilal bagged a 2-1 win over Al Nassr.

The game also saw Cristiano Ronaldo pick up a red card after elbowing Ali Al-Bulaihi in the chest. Fans will hope that the Al Nassr skipper can maintain his composure this time around with a lot dependent on the player’s performance. This is Cristiano Ronaldo’s last chance to win a silverware with the team this season with the team already coming second to Al Hilal in the league standings.
