Cristiano Ronaldo once again reminded the world of his talents. The Portuguese icon, who turns 39 in 2 months, just scored his 50th goal of the year. Ronaldo was a key contributor to Al Nassr’s win over Al Shahab in the King Cup with a great goal and constant threat. After the match, the Al Nassr star took to social media and penned a few words that showcased his mindset from Day 1 itself.

Moreover, he looks to have fully recovered from the neck injury suffered against Persepolis. The Portuguese attacker was lively against Al Shabab and made a great assist while landing 4 of his 6 shots on target. Following the loss against Al Hilal, it seems CR7 and Co. are back to their best.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s strike against Al Shabab saw him reach the tally of 50 goals in the calendar year. The Portuguese star scored 40 of these goals for the SPL side and 10 for the national team. This is also the 8th time he managed to score 50 or more goals in a year. He further posted a story on Instagram, appearing to thank his fans for their support. The caption read, “When I was 15, I turned to some of my teammates during training. I remember it so clearly. I said to them, ‘I’ll be the best in the world one day'”. It seems the Portuguese star believes that he has fulfilled his promise.

Moreover, Ronaldo also matched Erling Haaland as the only two players to reach the 50-goal mark in 2023. Considering how Erling Haaland is in his prime, playing for arguably the best side in the world, Ronaldo’s achievement is monumental. Also, it is noteworthy that Haaland finished 2nd in the Ballon d’Or ranking, whereas CR7 was not even nominated this year. His performances have gone quite under the radar. Despite winning every trophy in club soccer, he is still as motivated as ever. What are his ambitions at the Riyadh-based club?
