After all these years of toil and hard work, it is time to impart some of those experiences to the youngsters. Ronaldo, the motivator, remains critical for Portugal’s future success. This has also helped the results improve after the World Cup nightmare. One example was the Portuguese star welcoming young Joao Neves. In an interview, manager Roberto Martinez spoke about the interaction by revealing, “When Cristiano welcomed Joao Neves to the Portugal camp for the first time in October, the legend Cristiano spoke with the newcomer Joao Neves and asked him in the end (when were you born)?

Joao Neves replied: “2004.”

Cristiano replied: “That was my first tournament!” while laughing.

At the age of 19, Cristiano Ronaldo experienced a tournament that left an indelible mark, encompassing both highs and lows in 2004. The Portuguese forward showcased his prowess by scoring two goals and providing two assists in six games. However, the tournament’s conclusion wasn’t favorable for him. As hosts, his team was expected to clinch victory in the final against the underdogs Greece, but fate dealt them a different hand, leaving Ronaldo on the losing side.

Looking ahead, Cristiano Ronaldo managed to compensate for that disappointment by clinching victory in the 2016 Euro final. Now, at 38, he harbors hopes of replicating those heroic moments in Germany later this year.
