While lucrative contracts are expected to do their job, the skipper and face of the team, Ronaldo, will personally contact both players to don the yellow and blue jersey alongside him. But will the task be easy for Al-Nassr and CR7?
Notably, Silva’s contract with Manchester City expires in 2026. Meanwhile, Diaz is tied to Liverpool until 2027. Hence, there’s no doubt that Al Nassr would be required to pay some sort of fee for both stars. Although Silva has often made transfer headlines, with Ronaldo’s national teammate being linked with big European clubs, Diaz remains a surprise entry. Furthermore, the talented defender expressed dissatisfaction with Al-Nassr’s contract negotiations. Aside from acknowledging that the players are ‘unhappy,’ the former Manchester City star revealed that the Roshn League side even ‘fight‘ to make things difficult during negotiations.
