The baseball star felt overwhelmed after meeting one of the greatest soccer legends, sharing quality time with him, and taking a picture. He further revealed, “I deeply admire and see first-hand what he has become over the years.” The duo met 10 years ago and then, Ronaldo shared a photo of the two on X (formerly Twitter).
Cano is one of the investors in the league to help the sport grow in the region. The second baseman played in 17 MLB seasons, winning the World Series Championship for the New York Yankees in 2009. The player also won five Silver Slugger Awards and two Gold Gloves. The player will look to emulate the same impact Ronaldo has on soccer in Saudi.
