And what can be a prouder moment for a father than to see his child follow in his footsteps? Ronaldo is set to witness the young man and his team receive a tribute for attaining glory this season.

Jr. has been highly influential in his team winning the league this year. After scoring goals regularly, he is finally rewarded for his patience in moving around the globe with his father. He’s joined all the youth academies where his dad plays, and his spell at Riyadh has definitely become memorable already.

It was on February 9th that Al Nassr was confirmed as the winner of the Saudi U13 league after beating Ohod 4-1. But Al Nassr has waited for today’s game against Al Fateh to honor the young players for their incredible achievement. The tribute is expected to happen before the start of the match at Al Awwal Park in the presence of the mighty Cristiano Ronaldo. The club won their 13th game of the season, taking them to 40 points, with Jr. also contributing with a goal alongside Nawaf Naji, Saif Ahmed, and Nasser Alsaqabi.

The club congratulated the youngsters on social media immediately after the title was confirmed. On its X handle, they wrote, “The long whistle sounded. Al Nassr U-13 champions. Our boys did it three weeks before the last game. Congratulations to our young stars; the future looks bright!”. Cristiano Ronaldo responded, “Congratulations, champion.”

Jr. joined Al Nassr’s Academy in October 2023 and was given the #7 jersey, just like his dad. The teen earlier played for Real Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester United’s youth academies. The 13-year-old had an impressive stint at the Juve academy, scoring 58 goals and providing 18 assists in just 23 games.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo’s son hopes to play with his father someday. CR7 revealed a few months ago, “My son tells me: dad, hold on a few more years; I want to play with you!”. With the youngster’s progress and his father’s hunger, it looks like the task is not impossible. Ronaldo, on the other hand, will continue his pursuit of the league title against Al Fateh tonight.
